GE-47716-30A Cooling System Fill Adapter GM-47716-30A

The GE-47716-30A adapts the previously essential GE-47716 Vac-N-Fill to the male quick connect fitting on the charge air cooling system in the Cadillac CTS with LF3 engine and 2016 vehicles with engine RPOs LT4 and LGW. The valve core in 2016 the engine fitting is now 3 mm longer. Use of the previously essential GE-47716-30 Adapter (Gold color collar) will damage the valve. The updated connector has a shorter valve depressor. The GE-47716-UPD is a connector update kit that was automatically sent out to GM dealers to retrofit their GE-47716-30 into the GE-47716-30A. The GE-47716-30A new connector has a Green collar to distinguish it from the GE-47716-30 connector Gold collar to clearly show the update has been made and avoid confusion at the dealership. The updated adapter will work to depress the valves on both the old and new charge air cooling system connectors. The Vac-N-Fill can then be used to evacuate all air from the charge air cooling system to avoid pump noise and loss of cooling system performance. The adapter is also used with the previously essential GE-24460-B Radiator Pressure Tester hand pump and GE-47716-8 Vac-N-Fill Cap to pressure test the system for any leaks before beginning the fill procedure.
